Lyric grants auditions for principal roles to professional opera singers on an invitation-only basis. The artist's management should contact Lyric's associate artistic administrator or email email@example.com with requests for an audition.
Lyric Opera of Chicago will be auditioning applicants for the position of Assistant Principal Cello in July of 2015, with Finals and possible Semi-Finals in September. For more information and how to apply, please click here or email firstname.lastname@example.org with an inquiry.

Lyric Opera of Chicago is auditioning dancers for principal and solo dancer roles for its upcoming production of the operetta The Merry Widow by Franz Lehár. This production will be staged and choreographed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman. August Tye is the ballet mistress.
Preliminary auditions for both men and women will be Sunday, May 17 with callbacks on Monday, May 18.

Lyric Unlimited, a division of Lyric Opera of Chicago, is currently casting singers for Second Nature. This is a newly commissioned children’s opera with music and libretto by Matthew Aucoin.
The auditions will be held at Lyric Opera, 20 N. Wacker Drive, Chicago on Sunday May 3, 2015. Your information will be evaluated by Lyric Unlimited and appointments will be made for qualified candidates. Not all applicants will be asked to audition. Notification will be sent via email.
Preliminary Auditions for the 2016-2017 Ryan Opera Center Ensemble
All applicants must submit a completed application form and audition video consisting of two contrasting arias. Videos may not include excerpts from staged performances. Videos must be uploaded to the Internet (we suggest YouTube) and applicants must include a link to their video in their application form. DVDs and emailed video files will not be accepted.

Applicants will be notified via email if invited to a live audition. Applicants who accept our invitation to a live audition must pay an audition fee of $30 within two weeks of notification or withdraw in writing.
