Lighting Designer
Lee Curran has created lighting for many major theaters throughout the U. K., including the Royal Shakespeare Company (Doctor Faustus, Love’s Sacrifice, Arden of Faversham); the Royal Court (Road, X, Linda, and Constellations, the latter also seen in London’s West End and in New York); Donmar Warehouse (The Lady From The Sea, Splendour); Almeida Theatre (Summer and Smoke); Old Vic (Cover My Tracks); Shakespeare's Globe (Imogen); Royal Exchange Manchester (Jubilee, Hamlet, Blindsided); English Touring Theatre (The Weir, A Streetcar Named Desire); Young Vic/Nuffield Theatre (A Number); National Theatre Wales (Mametz); National Theatre Shed (Protest Song); and London’s LIFT Festival (Depart, 66 Minutes in Damascus). Curran has also worked in dance, with productions for Hofesh Shechter (Sun, Political Mother, The Art of Not Looking Back, In Your Rooms, Uprising); London’s Royal Ballet (Untouchable); Nederlands Dans Theater (Clowns); Rambert Dance (Tomorrow, Frames, Curious Conscience) and Boy Blue Entertainment (Blak Whyte Gray). Opera productions include Orpheé et Eurydice (Royal Opera House, London/Teatro Alla Scala, Milan), Ottone and Life on the Moon (English Touring Opera), and Nabucco (Opéra National de Lorraine).
