Thomas L. Potter
Tenor
Thomas Potter has sung with the Lyric Opera chorus since 1992.
He has performed at Lyric as The Square Dance Caller in Susannah, one of the Three Tenors in Sweeney Todd and as Arthur Jones in Billy Budd.
Potter majored in Voice Performance at DePauw University.
Prior to joining the lyric family he sang with the Chicago Symphony Chorus under the direction of Margaret Hillis. There he performed as a soloist with the symphony for a Pops concert and as the Father in Hansel and Gretel under the batons of Miss Hillis and Michael Morgan. Thomas and his husband of 33 years have been active in Greyhound Rescue and over the past 15 years. In that time they have adopted 16 hounds . Currently their pack consists of four beauties, Dime, Cents, Chelle and Moose.
