Robert E. Johnson

Robert’s career has spanned four continents. He has held positions in Singapore, Santiago, Chile, and Barcelona, Spain. He is a tenured orchestra member of both the Lyric Opera of Chicago as well as the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed with all of Chicago’s leading musical organizations, as well as done commercial recordings, film scores and chamber music.

Robert is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Music and received an Artist Diploma from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

He also teaches meditation classes for musicians not only privately and institutionally, but for many universities and conservatories throughout the Midwest as well as in Europe and South America. These classes focus on developing greater concentration, improving stage presence and creativity, as well as reducing stress and creating well-being.
