The Belarussian tenor is winner of the First Prize and the Don Plácido Domingo Ferrer Prize of Zarzuela in Operalia 2018. His future plans include house debuts at the Opéra National de Paris, Glyndebourne on Tour, and Opéra de Lausanne. Engagements elsewhere have included the Vienna State Opera (Nemorino/L’elisir d’amore), London’s Royal Opera House (Pong/Turandot), the Arena di Verona (Alfredo/La traviata), Opera Australia, (Ferrando /Così fan tutte), the Salzburg Festival (Chaplitsky/The Queen of Spades), the Bucharest National Opera (Lensky/Eugene Onegin and Alfredo), and the Mikhailovsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia (Alfredo). Petrov performed in a gala concert in Moscow with the State Symphony Orchestra of Russia alongside Armenian-Lithuanian star soprano Asmik Grigorian. The tenor is currently a member of the ensemble at Oper Graz, where his roles have included Alfredo, Lensky, Belfiore/Il viaggio a Reims, Prunier/La rondine, Don Ottavio/Don Giovanni, Edgardo/Lucia di Lammermoor, Narraboth/Salome, and Rodolfo/La bohème.
