Timothy Sheader has been artistic director and joint chief executive of Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre since 2007. His productions there include Jesus Christ Superstar (Evening Standard Award, Best Musical; Olivier Award, Best Musical Revival); A Tale of Two Cities; Running Wild (also U. K. tour); Peter Pan; The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess; Crazy for You (Olivier Award, Best Musical Revival); Hello, Dolly! (Olivier Award, Best Musical Revival; Evening Standard Award, Best Musical); and Into the Woods (Olivier Award, Best Musical Revival; also New York’s Public Theater in Central Park). Other productions include The Magistrate (National Theatre); Barnum (Chichester Festival); Imagine This (New London); Hobson’s Choice, The Clandestine Marriage, and Love in a Maze (all at the Watermill); Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella and The Three Musketeers (both at Bristol Old Vic); The Star Throwers, Unless (Scarborough’s Stephen Joseph Theatre); Misconceptions (Derby Playhouse); Streetcar to Tennessee (Young Vic); Achilles (Edinburgh Fringe First); Wild, Wild Women (Orange Tree); Arms and the Man (U. K. national tour); Piaf and Sweet Charity (Sheffield Crucible; TMA Best Musical Award); and My Fair Lady (Denmark’s Aarhus Teater).
