Raise a glass! The Flying Dutchman has docked at Lyric and is here through the end of this week, with the last performance on October 7. This masterpiece includes some of Wagner’s most thrilling, spectacular choruses, featuring the magnificent Lyric Opera Chorus. In this clip from the "Sailors’ Chorus," Daland's crew raises a toast to fair seas as they welcome aboard their lady loves. Moored near the Dutchman's ship, the sailors' festivities come to an abrupt end when the ghostly crew mocks their merry-making.
