Lyric Music & More: November 8

The Daughter of the Regiment opened Saturday to rave reviews and an ecstatic audience. Critics agreed that soprano Lisette Oropesa was one of the highlights, with Chicago Sun-Times calling her “an innate physical comedian” and an “indefatigable singer.” Watch her perform the aria “Chacun le sait” in which she cheers on her adopted family, the regiment.
