The 2015/16 season has come to an end and your Lyric team is far from taking a summer break. In fact, work continues at a fevered pitch as we prepare for the upcoming season, making significant renovations to our staging capabilities and hosting some amazing performances at the Civic Opera House along the way. We'll take some time to reflect on the great season that's just ending, and we invite you to join in our excitement as we welcome a new Ryan Center Ensemble, focus on technical rehearsals, get out into the community, and ready the main stage for more outstanding performances... just a few months away!

When the Civic Opera House was built in 1929, it was the most state-of-the-art building of its time. Today, the Ardis Krainik Theatre stage is one of the most antiquated of any major opera house in the world.
