The next live Lyric production doesn't open until January, but don’t worry — later this month, the filmed concert Lawrence Brownlee & Friends will be available for free streaming. This concert of vocal excellence features tenor Lawrence Brownlee with Craig Terry on piano. Joining them in performance are soprano Lisette Oropesa, mezzo-soprano Ronnita Miller, and members of the Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center Ensemble — tenor Travon D. A first look at Champion
Grammy Award-winning artist Terence Blanchard’s first opera Champion makes its Lyric debut January 27. In the title role as legendary boxer Emile Griffith is Justin Austin, a brilliant new star who triumphed in Fire Shut Up in My Bones in the 2021/22 Season. Watch him as he gets ready for the starring role in this behind-the-scenes video.
Rossini’s greatest hits
