Second Date Announced for Choir! Choir! Choir! at Lyric

If you missed your chance to sing under the lights of Lyric Opera with Choir! Choir! Choir! last month, don’t fret! Warm up those vocal cords and get ready to sing your heart out when the participatory music phenomenon heads to the Windy City for an encore engagement. Tickets are on sale now for the second Choir! Choir! Choir! event at Lyric, which will take place Friday, February 23 at 8p.m. 

Enjoy an evening of music-making when a few hundred Chicagoans join together to learn a new arrangement of a popular song. The format is simple. All attendees will receive a sheet of music lyrics, be evenly divided based on voice types and ranges, and taught vocal harmonies. At the end of 90 minutes, you'll be part of a beautifully-unified choir that will be broadcast in a Facebook Live event.

On Saturday, October 21 during Choir! Choir! Choir!’s first event at Lyric, the hit song “Free Fallin’” by famed rock musician Tom Petty was the evening’s choice. With the news of Petty’s recent passing hitting music fans especially hard, it was magical to see his work commemorated in such an unforgettable experience.
