Exciting Special Events Coming to Lyric This Fall

Save the dates for Lyric’s exciting lineup of events coming to the opera house this fall. Sing your heart out to Fleetwood Mac with Choir! Choir! Choir!, hear two superstars in conversation, and enjoy the phenomenal Straight No Chaser live in concert. Keep reading to find out more:

On Friday, October 12 at 8pm, join in as hundreds of Chicagoans gather to sing songs by the legendary Fleetwood Mac at the Lyric Opera House! The format is simple. All attendees will receive a sheet of lyrics and will be evenly grouped, based on voice types and ranges. You’ll be taught the vocal harmonies to some Fleetwood Mac classics such as “Dreams,” “Rhiannon,” “Go Your Own Way,” “Don’t Stop,” and more. At the end of 90 minutes, you'll be part of a beautifully unified chorus that will be broadcast in a Facebook Live event!

Tickets for this family-friendly evening are just $25 and are going fast. (This event is standing room only in the Rice Grand Foyer, where you'll be singing.) No previous music experience necessary, just show up ready to sing your heart out to music by one of the most iconic bands of all time.

Superstar athlete Serena Williams and rapper/activist Common will headline the Creative Minds Talks at Lyric on Monday, October 29 at 7pm. These talks offer conversations with the brightest minds in art, architecture, fashion, film, literature, music, sports, and philanthropy.

Singing phenomenon Straight No Chaser will perform at the Lyric Opera House on Saturday, December 15 for two shows (3pm and 7:30pm).
