Mark your calendar and tune in to WFMT 98.7FM on the first Sunday of each month at 7pm for the Ryan Opera Center Recital Series. 

The April 5th recital features mezzo-soprano Kayleigh Decker and pianist Madeline Slettedahl in a recital celebrating the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, guaranteeing and protecting women’s constitutional right to vote. Featured are works by women composers Florence Price, Alma Mahler, and Lili and Nadia Boulanger.

While we sadly won’t be able to enjoy Renée Fleming and Evgeny Kissin in concert this spring at Symphony Center, this beautiful performance offers comfort and joy in these difficult times. We may be far apart, but moments like these bring us all closer together.

Presented by the Joan W. and Irving B. Harris Theater, in association with Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Beyond the Aria series offers audiences a one-night-only experience with some of the greatest operatic talents of our generation in an intimate, cabaret-style setting on the enclosed stage of the Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park. Ryan Opera Center alumna soprano Susanna Phillips returns for the final Beyond the Aria of the season with Ensemble members tenor Eric Ferring and bass-baritone David Weigel, joined by Music Director Craig Terry.

Join us Sunday, July 26 at 6pm for an evening of beautiful music as artists from The Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center Ensemble perform a variety of favorites accompanied by members of the Lyric Opera Orchestra. Pack your picnic and bring your fellow music lovers to Millennium Park for this new can’t-miss summer delight!
