Join us on February 13 for a Community Welcome Reception as we anticipate the Midwest premiere of Blue, a brand-new opera by Jeanine Tesori and Tazewell Thompson. Centered on the experiences of a young Black family living in Harlem, Blue challenges notions of what opera can be. 

An intimate evening of food, friends and music, the Community Welcome Reception will feature a performance by mezzo-soprano Taylor Raven, who plays the Mother in Blue, singing excerpts from the opera.   

Be there Thursday, February 13 from 6-8pm at the Parkway Ballroom (4455 S. King Dr.). Free parking is available. This event will have a cash bar.
