Celebrating the legacy of Florence B. Price, internationally-renowned Soprano Karen Slack seamlessly blends a historically excluded musical legacy with present-day artistic excellence. This Grammy-winning, groundbreaking album features musically excellent recordings of 19 unpublished pieces (including 16 world premiere recordings) by the prominent and well-established composer Florence B. Price.

Beyond the Years is in collaboration with ONEcomposer, an organization dedicated to celebrating composers who have been historically erased. ONEcomposer is inspired by the long-lasting legacy of Florence B. Price.

Join Lyric Unlimited’s Artist-in-Residence, Karen Slack as she takes listeners through a journey of rediscovery, reflection, and reimagination. Immediately following, Karen will be engaged in a conversation moderated by a Lyric Unlimited Scholar-in-Residence, Dr. Antonio C. Cuyler.
