Join us for an extraordinary evening celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center, Lyric Opera of Chicago’s premier artist-development program.
This milestone concert features the 2024/25 Ensemble performing with members of the acclaimed Lyric Opera Orchestra, conducted by Music Director Enrique Mazzola and directed by Chief Artistic Administration Officer Matthew Ozawa.
The program will include selections from Jacques Offenbach’s opera Orpheus in the Underworld, a delightful and satirical masterpiece that reimagines the classic Greek myth with wit, charm, and Offenbach’s signature "can-can" music. The concert also features additional repertoire to showcase the Ensemble’s wide-ranging talents.
As a special part of the celebration, alumni from the program’s five-decade history will be in attendance and recognized for their contributions to the art form.
Experience the artistry of tomorrow’s opera stars as they demonstrate the exceptional and unparalleled training that defines the Ryan Opera Center. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate its incredible legacy and bright future. Reserve your seats now!
