Jane Lynch’s Sass & Class = SEE JANE SING
You might’ve noticed that Jane Lynch has been EVERYWHERE in recent weeks. Including her own sweet (former) home Chicago.
From national TV appearances on The Late Late Show with James Corden and The Talk (both CBS) and The Steve Harvey Show (NBC) to local TV and radio visits with Windy City Live (ABC7), WGN-TV’s Midday News, You and Me in the Morning (WCIU-TV), The Steve Cochran Show on WGN-AM, and The Morning Shift on WBEZ-FM, and several others…she’s been chatting up a storm about SEE JANE SING, her rollicking cabaret show that’s currently touring the country.
And lucky Chicago: We’ve got four chances this month to laugh (a lot), cry (a little), and be charmed by Jane and her spirited collaborators in music and comedy. Joining Jane onstage at Lyric June 17-18 are her longtime musical/comedic sidekick and pal Kate Flannery (Meredith on The Office) and Tim Davis, the talented former musical arranger on Glee, plus the Tony Guerrero Quintet.
Jane & Co. will set up shop at the front of Lyric’s stage, with the beautifully illuminated Ardis Krainik Theatre as backdrop. The audience will enjoy cabaret-style seating (plus food-and-beverage table service) on the Ken Pigott Stage. Capacity for this pop-up nightclub is just 400 for each of four shows, so be sure to get your tickets before they’re gone.
SEE JANE SING features music Lynch has loved all her life, including “songs that made you cry as a kid, like ‘Puff the Magic Dragon,’” Jane says. You’ll hear classics from stage and screen, American songbook standards, and some very current tunes, too, all delivered with Jane’s signature sass and class.
