Plans for a full-scale production of Verdi’s early masterpiece Attila had been in the works for years when Lyric was forced to cancel all of its performances for the 2020/21 Season. However, Maestro Enrique Mazzola’s excitement for this project could not be held back, so Attila Highlights in Concert was born, a virtual concert of some of the most thrilling musical moments performed by some highly accomplished Verdians. See how this grand-scale opera made the shift to intimate virtual concert and get excited for Sunday’s premiere at 2:00pm CT.
