This week in opera streaming, we're traveling far and wide! On Monday, we'll visit our friends at Opera Australia for their 2013 production of Don Pasquale. Then, we'll head to Opera North for their 2016 Ring cycle, and then we'll celebrate the weekend with productions from Houston Grand Opera.

For the Love of Lyric 

Lyric is excited to present the world premiere of a unique, free virtual concert from the stage of the Lyric Opera House.

For the Love of Lyric's starry lineup is led by world-renowned soprano Renée Fleming and features special guests, including Tony Award® and Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter-actress Heather Headley, sopranos Ailyn Pérez and Julia Bullock, bass Soloman Howard, and mezzo-soprano and Ryan Opera Center alumna J'Nai Bridges, with Doug Peck serving as music director. Members of The Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center Ensemble and members of the Chicago Children's Choir will also perform in this enlightening and entertaining program of familiar and revelatory selections from the worlds of opera, Broadway, popular music, and some surprising sources.

This production from Opera Australia stars Conal Coad, Rachelle Durkin, Ji-Min Park, and Samuel Dundas, and was directed by Roger Hodgman. Don Pasquale was conducted by Guillaume Tourniaire in 2013. This opera stream will be available indefinitely.

Wagner: Das Rheingold

This production from Opera North stars Michael Druiett, Wolfgang Ablinger-Sperrhacke, Jo Pohlheim, and Mats Almgren, and was directed by Peter Mumford. Das Rheingold was conducted by Richard Farnes in June 2016. This opera stream will be available indefinitely.
