In Mascagni’s “Serenata,” the singer thinks of his sleeping beloved, with the hope that she won't wake up, because he's about to kiss her in her dreams. First-year Ryan Opera Center tenor Martin Luther Clark delivers a tender performance of this song, one of Mascagni’s most popular, in this clip from Sole e Amore.
