Are you ready for Halloween? In this spooky scene from Lyric’s recent production, called “a fine, spooky Macbeth” by the Chicago Tribune, the witches (performed here by members of the Lyric Opera Chorus) dance around a bubbling cauldron as they prepare for their sabbath.

Chicago Sun-Times named Florencia en el Amazonas one of the highlights of Chicago’s fall cultural season. This masterpiece by Mexico’s finest opera composer, Daniel Catán, is the first Spanish-language opera to be presented as part of Lyric’s mainstage opera season.
